Does this sound a little like your life?
Some days, you wake up refreshed because the baby slept through the night. Your kids are playing nicely together in their room, giggling.
Your teenagers come home bragging about rocking that math test.
And at the end of the day, your husband is in a great mood because he made a big sale and is ready to jump right into Dad mode so you can decompress while cooking a fantastic dinner.
And then, there are the other 360 plus days of the year.
Where you’re woken up by kids screaming at each other and the stench of a dirty diaper.
Your extra-strength-willed kids decide they won’t even “Have a good day” because they won’t be told what to do.
Your eyes are carrying more luggage than allowed on most airlines. The teenagers had “the worst day ever” and the hubby had to deal with “dumpster fires” all day.
And you screwed up dinner.
Time to call Papa John’s. Again.
And that’s why I’m here.
Hey there! I’m Ana.
A stay-at-home mama who has run the gamut of life experience.
I spent over a decade as a high school math teacher.
During that time I got married, had my two big kids (Bug and Bubba), went through a divorce, spent time figuring things out as a single mom, got saved by Jesus, and got married again to my hilarious husband (Mr. B).
Since then, we’ve added three more kiddos to the mix (Sweet Firefly, Freckles, and Little Buddy). We now have these five kiddos (it is NEVER quiet at my house), a sweet rescue dog (who loves to tear into the trash), and I’ve been a stay-at-home mom for the last six years.
All while trying to live a life pursuing a relationship with Jesus so I know where my self-worth really comes from…and not losing my cool parenting my strong-willed kiddos.
How is it possible to reflect God’s love for us in parenting when it seems every.single.thing is a fight? (That’s what I’m here for, Sister.)
The Mission of grace and glory moms
Grace and Glory Moms is all about empowering Christian moms to live a Spirit-filled life while raising strong-willed kids for the Kingdom of God.
You’ll find encouragement for the weary days and humor for the days you can’t do anything else but laugh (like the time Sweet Firefly gave Freckles a Friar Tuck haircut). But more than anything you’ll find ways to connect to our loving Savior as well as your children.
We strive to be like Mary Poppins. Practically perfect in every way.
But we tend to feel more like we’re running an insane asylum and the inmates have taken over.
I can’t claim to be an expert about anything except falling and getting back up again. My home won’t land on the cover of any magazines anytime soon. And neither will my family.
You can look at me as another friend, who loves Jesus and who is passionate about walking alongside mamas – like you – longing to strengthen the foundation of their faith in Jesus and have a strong, loving relationship with their children.
Sometimes while clinging onto God’s grace and a twisted sense of humor. All for His Glory.
If this sounds a little like you, then grab a coffee (or margarita) and stick around!
